The Indian Summer

Yeah, that's an insanely original post title, but who cares when the weather is so blissful?
Happily wearing my "superhero top" by Arya Sense.

The Slouch

The sudden onset of summer weather has me reaching for the slouchy stuff.
I'm glad to say that the pants and the shirt (read its story here) are both vintage.

The Return

Feeling like a total n00b after not having blogged for almost a month
(it can be quite frustrating how sometimes "life happens" and the blog gets sidetracked).
Time to kick it up a notch.

The Ease

Here's how getting dressed works for me these days (today's example):
I open up the wardrobe, grab a sweater and some pants,
mentally pair the ensemble with the right shoes and bag,
and all that's left for me to do is to put the items on various parts of my body
(which might even take up more time than the actual process of "composing" the outfit*).

The Gray Area

Today's outfit is the first fruit of a collaboration I've really been looking forward to.
With the beautiful package from Bulgaria-based creative duo Arya Sense in my hands,
I found myself feeling like an incredibly excited little kid about to open their long-awaited presents.
Having to choose from the three exquisite handmade tops they kindly sent me,
I felt like this gray long sleeved draped top fit my mood best today.
(BTW, isn't gray just a wonderful color for spring?)

If your sartorial taste resembles mine, I strongly recommend heading over to Arya Sense Etsy shop
to drool over their designs and treat yourself to your favorite piece.
For even more info, visit their website and Facebook page.

The Light

After a period of slightly depressing weather, today was a wonderful, sunlit day that brought along some spring vibes I've been yearning for and instantly uplifted my mood. At first I thought the strong sunlight and the shadows it cast would interfere with shooting these photos, but they turned out just right. I intentionally restrained myself from too much editing and left some photos uncropped, even skewed; these little "imperfections" made me smile.

P. S. Yes, this is a gray version of my black split front skirt (worn here). I learned that when you really like, want, and need an item, it might be a smart idea to get it in another color, too (or, in my case, in another non-color).

The Homage

Céline AW 2013/14 was stuck in my head, so I had to get it out of my system.

The Blacks

Wearing a mix of old and new* black items on a surprisingly warm January day (hence the nylon tights instead of my usual two chunky layers). Now this is the kind of winter I can live with.

* Smart sale buys (including the split front skirt and the faux leather jacket from the men's department worn here). I might share my smart shopping tips in one of my next posts.

The Colors

This is me wearing colors (and attempting to be witty).

Winter has been nice to us so far - these days feel more like early spring, so my light coat is back in the game, along with a sweater that used to be my boyfriend's. I've been wanting a soft, just slightly oversized grey sweater since the beginning of fall; turns out a perfect one was sitting in his closet all along, and he actually wanted to get rid of it. I just love it when the stars align like this.

The Winter Edition

It's been cold and I'm bundling up ('cause there aren't many things as idiotic as bloggers sporting bare legs or wearing sandals outside when it's freezing).

Warmed Up

The weather has been awfully nice to us these days, so I happily took advantage of what was most likely the last chance for bare legs before all hell breaks loose (a.k.a. winter). Whereas I would quite possibly deem this outfit plain, maybe even downright boring, a couple of years ago, I find simple cuts in black and white oh-so beautiful, even soothing now, like it's the only natural thing for me to wear, plus getting dressed has never been so simple. No need to stack on loads of jewelry either, my DIY necklace is more than enough. Oh, and I love it how the bandage over my bruised knee doubles as an instant accessory.
